Learn Mindfulness Meditation - Shell Cove

These are individual mindfulness courses offering personalised training to help participants develop their mindfulness skills and apply them to daily life. These courses are one-on-one sessions, allowing for tailored support and guidance.

The one-on-one sessions are conducted over 4 weeks and include the following:
Week 1:
  • What is Mindfulness?
  • Benefits of Mindfulness
  • Research on Mindfulness
  • Exercise: Mindful Breathing
  • Developing a greater awareness of your body (emotions, body sensations) and why it's important for your wellbeing
  • Exercise: Body Scan

Week 2:
  • Developing  awareness of your body and mind (thoughts, emotions, body sensations)
  • Exercise: Open awareness
  • Mindful Communication: Focused Attention and Listening
  • Exercise: Mindful Listening

Week 3: 
  • Stress reduction and managing your emotions
  • Helpful Techniques for handling difficult emotions- STOP, RAIN
  • Mindful Thoughts and Emotions
  • Exercise: The Mountain Meditation - developing resilience
  • Mantra Meditation - how it calms the body
  • Exercise: Focal Point Mantra Meditation

Week 4: 
  • Acceptance of what is, in mind and body, present moment.
  • Exercise: Acceptance Meditation
  • Informal Mindfulness Exercises
  • Developing your own daily mindfulness routine
  • Certificate of completion of course
