8 Week Online Mindfulness Course

Online Mindfulness Course: Learn mindfulness meditation for stress and anxiety reduction, improve work and study performance, increase your concentration and experience more peace and calmness in your life. The course includes 7 Audio meditations, a daily journal to reflect on your experiences and a 35 page workbook.
By the completion of this course, you'll be able to:

  • Identify the  triggers which cause stress in your life 
  • Self-manage and self-calm any rising stress to bring yourself back into balance
  • Understand the mind body connection and how it impacts on your happiness and wellbeing
  • Feel confident with preventing any escalation of unhelpful thoughts 
  • Feel confident with recognising  when your body is giving you signals (pain, tension, etc) and know how to bring yourself back into equilibrium
  • Have experienced a wide range of mindfulness techniques and feel confident with your practice
  • Practice without guidance the mindfulness techniques you resonate best with
  • Reflect on your experiences in your daily mindfulness journal 
  • Practice a more mindful approach to work, study, family, relationships and life in general​

Who is the course for?

Everyone can benefit from mindfulness. No previous experience is required, as all instruction will be covered in the course.  However, mindfulness is experiential, you will learn the most from the actual practice of mindfulness on a daily basis over the 8 week period and writing your experience in your daily journal.

This course is a general interest course, it is not designed for those with significant mental health problems (Depression, PSTD).  If you have any concerns about joining this course, please discuss with your Doctor or other qualified health care professional.
​8 Week Mindfulness Meditation Course

This is an online course where you can learn and practice Mindfulness Meditation, daily over an 8 week period.
​
The course covers the following sessions:

Week 1:
  • What is Mindfulness?
  • Benefits of Mindfulness
  • Research on Mindfulness
  • Exercise: Mindful Breathing
Week 2:
  • Developing a greater awareness of your body (emotions, body sensations) and why it's important for your wellbeing
  • Exercise: Body Scan
Week 3:
  • Developing  awareness of your body and mind (thoughts, emotions, body sensations)
  • Exercise: Open awareness
Week 4:
  • Mindful Communication: Focused Attention and Listening
  • Exercise: Mindful Listening
Week 5: 
  • Stress reduction and managing your emotions
  • Helpful Techniques for handling difficult emotions- STOP, RAIN
  • Mindful Thoughts and Emotions
  • Exercise: The Mountain Meditation - developing resilience
Week 6:
  • Mantra Meditation
  • Exercise: Focal Point Mantra Meditation
Week 7: 
  • Acceptance of what is, in mind and body, present moment.
  • Exercise: Acceptance Meditation

Week 8:
  • Informal Mindfulness Exercises
  • Developing your own daily mindfulness routine
  • Certificate of completion of course
